It was a choppy sea that greeted us upon arrival at the club. The buoys were positioned to make it a decent swim for all concerned. We also had Peter Q back even though he was restricted to the promenade.
A Grade saw Dori come in well in front of Louise with a run up the beach for Nick to just beat out David Miller and Anthony Williams. I was reliably informed that the A Graders had a visitor from Maroubra around theming the back, a seal was swimming in the area.
B Grade saw Christian get his second swim in a row. This means that his handicap has increased by 1 minute instead of the usual 40 seconds. Justin (a new bronze) came in a good second with Margaret swimming well to come in third.
Cadets swam in A Grade and points were awarded for their positions in the race.
Overall, it was a challenging swim for all who took part today. Good to see a number come and swim for the second part of the Cox memorial race. Next week sees the second round of the Turner memorial.
