Call out teams are available 24/7 to provide support during incidents that occur outside of normal patrol hours.
Surf Life Saving NSW runs a Surf Rescue line that emergency services can call when surf rescue resources are needed. The Operations centre will then determine what is needed and start making calls / SMS to assemble a team.
The details of the call out team are included in the Patrol Operations Manual – we need to be able to have an IRB ready for sea within 15 minutes of a request, as well provide other club members with rescue/search skills.
Each year the Club nominates at least 6 people to be part of the team for the club. If you have an interest in being in the Call out team please discuss with the Club Captain.
