The Countdown is on to our Club Life Exhibition!
The judging panel has chosen our 30 finalists who’ll be revealed at the opening night on May 28 and the images are currently being professionally printed in large format and framed.
The winners – for Best Image and Best Image Taken with a Phone – will be hung in our clubhouse. The other finalists’ framed images will be for sale during the exhibition with funds raised going to lifesaving education and equipment. Great artwork for your walls and money to a great volunteer service!
Today we look at early 2020 through the eyes of the photographers who entered the competition.
January 2020 saw smoke haze descend on Bondi, bright orange sunrises (image by Isabella D Photo) and the Club’s bushfire relief efforts take over our Main Hall; in February the storms rolled in (image by Alex Porebski) with surf carnivals called off due to the weather and March saw the closure of Bondi and other eastern beaches (image by Olivia Katz) and COVID lockdown.
The Exhibition is on in the Club’s Main Hall on May 29-30 and June 5-6.
So save the date and come and join us to celebrate the Bondi community and two years in the life of the world’s oldest surf club, Bondi SBLSC.
Sponsored by Bondi Broker and supported by Waverley Council and Waverley Woollahra Arts School.
