IRBSERIES23// What a weekend f
IRBSERIES23// What a weekend for the Bondi IRB Racing Team at Round 2 of the SLSNSW Sharkskin IRB Premiership.
Another bumpy carnival with lightening storms and sand banks interrupting the timeliness to get all events done.
With only the Mass event being run our team worked with what was given and worked hard to achieve those few points up for grabs for Bondi.
Our 45+ Mixed teams got through to the semis and unfortunately the novice events were scrapped due to timelines and conditions.
Well Done to the below teams
35+ Female Event
Bondi Beaches – Nixy Krite, Kristy Smith, Brodie Mezie and Elijah Magee-2nd in Mass Rescue
Thelma and Louise – Ashleigh Wallis Breaden, Kirsten Newrick, Tom McIntyre and Cooper Harris -3rd in Mass Rescue
Open Female Event
Bondi Beaches – Nixy Krite, Kristy Smith, Brodie Mezie and Elijah Magee-6th in Mass Rescue
The points aren’t achieved without the whole team turning up all weekend putting in their best. Handlers, boat runners, officials, supporters, bakers, the coach, the team manager, family and friends. Every point achieved is achieved as an outstanding group of humans working side by side to help each other achieve there best.
The Team achieved 11 points this round bringing Bondi point score to 38 and 8th position overall in the series
Well done Team Bondi 👏
Round 3 coming up in 2 weeks at Bulli Surf Life Saving Club 27th and 28th May.
