#IRBSERIES23 // The SLSNSW Sharkskin IRB Premiership rounds are done and dusted.
The team competed in Round 5 last weekend at South West Rocks to end the series in our best round to date.
To make it into the finals most of our teams must go through Rounds, Quarter finals, Semi Finals then onto Finals. It is a big two days of racing back to back events and a whole team effort.
This round 14 of our teams made it into 12 finals including the team relay.
An amazing effort considering most of the team only joined this year or taking on new positions within the team as drivers and crew.
Over 5 rounds the team has been on the line and raced 159 races and achieving 95 points.
Final point score for the Premiership will be announced at State Championships next weekend. The team ended round 5 fielding another 28 points towards our overall point score.
Well done Team Bondi. We are looking forward to seeing the overall results in the coming week.

Finals achieved last weekend.

Ken was one of the lifesavers who participated in the Queens Royal Carnival on Bondi in 1954 and this was a recent interview with him – https://twitter.com/9newssyd/status/1568145699258130434?s=21&t=633U8AX-paLoSDlnomyMJQ
