Another weekend of IRB Drivers training done and dusted for our IRB education team and the trainees.
The IRB Drivers course runs every Saturday for up to 10 weeks and they are up to week 7 😀
You will see them bright and early for those weeks to go from 5.30am, few more weeks to go on these brisk spring mornings.
This will help strengthen our patrols going into the season ahead and help keep our community safe along our beautiful coastline.
The countdown is on until flags up for our volunteers.

Coming off the back of SLSA competition season, some of our members took up the challenge in the ocean in Hawaii.
They have just competed in the 52nd Annual Waikiki Rough Water Swim.
And the results are in! Congratulations to all.

Thanks to all our trainers that spend many hours at the front of their boats and to all our new IRB Drivers in training well done was a weekend of tricky conditions and you took on the challenge and stepped up and got the job done.
Then the whole group headed off to do the Bondi IRB Motor Masterclass.

This weekend over 25 of our members signed up for an amazing opportunity to learn all about keeping our IRB engines rescue ready.
A hands on workshop empowering our members with knowledge and skills on how to maintain and service our motors from top to botttom.
From a cuture of cleaning, servicing the recoil unit, checking the electrical systems , tiller maintence, carbinator cleaning and repair, the list goes on.
We can not thank Peter Hallett from Midcoast Marine International Pty Ltd for sharing his knowledge and servicing all our motors for the season ahead.
Thank you to all our members that attended, spending their weekend dedicated to learning new skills and strengthing our IRB team.
