The 2026/27 season skills maintenance will consist of:

• Signals
• Run - Swim - Rescue
• Resuscitation
• Radios

If you are unable to complete your proficiency before the cut off you may be able to complete a late proficiency in the New Year.

You will be required to provide a reason for needing late proficiency and this will need to go through approval before any proficiency occurs - you will not be allowed to patrol in the New Year until you have completed your proficiency.

Reason for late proficiency include:

1. Being away from Sep to Dec and therefore missing all patrols
2. Being medically unable to complete proficiency
3. Other extenuating circumstances

Simply not getting around to it or forgetting are not acceptable reasons for late proficiency.
