The Scenic Lounge

Set against the iconic backdrop of Bondi Beach, the Scenic Lounge is a premier event space within the historic Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club. Blending over a century of surf lifesaving heritage with a modern, light-filled design, the venue offers a unique coastal setting for everything from corporate functions to private celebrations. With sweeping ocean views and direct proximity to the sand, the Scenic Lounge captures the energy and atmosphere of Bondi while providing a versatile space for both intimate gatherings and large-scale events.

The Room includes:

  • 10 large round tables (seats 8)
  • 2 large rectangle wooden tables (seats 14)
  • 4 tall square cocktail tables (3 x stalls)
  • 120 chairs
  • Balcony area with X high tables and X stools

  • State of the art AV equipment including a large projector screen
  • PA sound system including 2 speakers and 2 roaming microphones
  • Lectern
  • Full licensed Bar
  • Kitchen Facilities

Capacity

Seated lunch/dinner: up to 120 guests

Cocktail style Events: up to 250 guests

Corporate: 120-150 guests, theatre style set up

Catering and Bar staff

If you require catering and/or bar facilities for your event, please speak with the Events Team for this information.  Please note the Scenic Lounge is a licensed venue.

Security

As a licensing condition, security is mandatory for some events.  Security will arrive 30 minutes before your event commences and stay for the duration of your event, with a minimum of 3 hour charge.

Important notes:

  • We do not accept bookings for birthday parties for anyone under the age of 21.
  • Birthday Parties for guests aged 21 to 25 may require an additional bond payment.
  • Please note there is no wheelchair access to the Scenic Lounge.
  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.  Bookings are not confirmed until receipt of deposit payment.

Getting here:

The Scenic Lounge is located on Sydney’s Iconic Bondi Beach, just 15 minutes for the city.  The Club is situated in the middle of the Beach on Queen Elizabeth Drive, next door to the Bondi Pavillion.

There is no parking at the Surf Club, but there is plenty of metered parking on Queen Elizabeth Drive.  There is a loading zone facility for deliveries.
