Cadets

Cadets are for members aged 13 to 15 years who hold a Surf Rescue Certificate and meet their club responsibilities. This includes keeping their qualifications current by completing the annual Skills Maintenance session.

Sunday 11th November - Welcome BBQ & Proficiency
Sunday 4th April- End of Season Celebration

Important information

• First half of Season: Each Cadet Patrol will be ‘embedded’ in a Senior Patrol. Your Patrol activities will be similar to last season (yes, the Surf Race is still on!). However, there will be more involvement with the Senior Patrol.
• Second half of Season: Each Cadet Patrol will have an additional 15+ new SRC members (Yellow Caps), and mostly operate independently from Senior Patrol.
• Expectation is that you attend all of your Cadet Patrols. If you cannot make it due to being sick or out of town, that’s OK.
• Expectation, is when not on a Cadet Patrol, you support either Nippers or SRC Training as Water Safety - see last two right hand columns of the sheet as to when you’re expected.
• Volunteering on Senior Patrols is encouraged. You do not need to ask our permission, simply turn up to the relevant Senior Patrol in uniform and ready to go.
• If you cannot make the Oct 11 Welcome BBQ & Proficiency, we will run another proficiency later on.
• If you don’t see your name, and believe you should still be on a Cadet Patrol or if you think you’re on the wrong Cadet Patrol please contact bondicadets@bondisurfclub.com
• If you do see your name, however, you are patrolling on a Senior Patrol instead of a Cadet Patrol, please contact Bondi Cadets.
• All Cadets (under 18 years) who are on a Snr Patrol are welcome to volunteer on a Cadet Patrol / join all social, training and education events.
