Current Membership Renewal
2026/27 Membership Renewals
Dear Members,
Thank you for your continued support over the past season. Once again, our Club has played an important role on the beach and in our community, and we look forward to continuing that work into the 2026/27 season and beyond.
As we prepare for the season ahead, I want to acknowledge and thank our patrolling members for the time and commitment you dedicate to keeping our beach safe. Your contribution remains at the heart of everything we do as a Club.
I am pleased to confirm that there will be no change to membership fees for the 2026/27 season. The Board has taken a measured approach, balancing the rising costs of operating the Club with the importance of keeping membership accessible for all.
Membership renewals are now open and are due by Friday, 31 July 2026, ahead of the Annual General Meeting. We encourage all members to renew early to ensure continuity of access and to assist the team in preparing for the season ahead.
As part of the Club’s ongoing commitment to governance, child safety and compliance obligations, all members aged 18 years and over are required to hold a current Working With Children Check. This is an important responsibility we share as a community organisation working closely with young people and families. Information on how to apply for or renew your Working With Children Check is included in the following pages.
As always, even if no fee applies to your membership category, renewal is still required. Further details on fees, categories and how to renew are outlined in the following pages.
We appreciate your ongoing support and look forward to welcoming you back for another strong season.
Yours sincerely,
Liz Webb
President

Fees for 2025/2026 Bronzies
If you completed your Bronze Medallion award during the 2025/2026 season and paid as an Active 18+ member, your course fee included a two-year membership so you don’t need to pay a membership fee for 2026/27. However, you will still need to renew your membership and pay any other Club fees.
I'm an Associate Member, do I still need a WWCC clearance?
Yes. As a Club, we have a responsibility to protect children and youth both on the beach and in the club. Given Associate Members access the club and its facilities, they are still required to go through the clearance process.
How much does the WWCC check cost?
It’s free.
I've requested my WWCC, do I have to wait for it to come through before I renew my membership?
You can submit your membership renewal through SLS Hub at any point. We will only finalise your renewal once we receive your WWCC clearance via the form.
What identity documents do I need to provide?
The simplest combination of documents are:
- Current passport (or full Australian birth certificate)
- Drivers Licence (or NSW Photo Card)
- Credit or debit card
- Medicare card
If you do not have the above, you can provide alternative documents from the following list:
https://ocg.nsw.gov.au/working-children-check/apply-wwcc/proof-identity
I can't complete the Working With Children Check online. What do I do?
If you are unable to fill in the online form, please visit Service NSW with your proof of identity documents and they will be able to assist you.
