Registration Instructions - New Nippers

This is the second and final step for registering your child with Bondi Nippers. Once you have submitted your registration using the instructions below, we will review your request and you will receive an email when it has been approved.

REGISTRATIONS FOR 2026/27 WILL BE CLOSING ON FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST (UNLESS PLACES FILL EARLIER)

Yes you can.

Yes! Your email address can be used for multiple accounts.

When setting up their SLS Hub account, you need to use the name that is on their identity documents, for most kids this is their birth certificate.

We can add their preferred name to their account once you have submitted their registration and then we will use that name in our day to day Nippers communications.

To add a preferred name, please email nippers@bondisurfclub.com.  

No, not necessarily. To date, we have not required Nippers parents to become members of the Club.

In general, you would have had to have done your Bronze Medallion with us or gone through the Associate Member application process to have become a member.

We do have a few volunteers who have General or Nipper Parent memberships. We have dropped the price of these to $30 to match the new “Nipper Parent / Carer” registration option.

You will know if you are a member of Bondi Surf Club as you will have already received emails from us this year asking you to renew your membership!

A membership with Bondi is either $125/year (Active Members), $360/year (Associate Members) or $90/year (General Members) so if we haven’t asked you to pay that recently, you’re likely not a member. 

If you’re still not sure, contact us at nippers@bondisurfclub.com and we’ll confirm for you either way.

Yes, you still need to either become a member of Bondi Surf Club or register as a “Nipper Parent/Carer” with us. You can have membership at multiple surf clubs so you can keep your existing membership if you like.

You can transfer to Bondi Surf Club by following these SLS Hub instructions. 

To do a full transfer to Bondi Surf Club,  choose “I want to leave … and transfer to Bondi”. To remain a member at your existing surf club, choose “I want to remain at … and also transfer to  Bondi”.

Follow the instructions for “My child is 5 and at least one parent or carer is a member of an Australian surf club (not just Bondi)” to register your child.

Contact us at nippers@bondisurfclub.com to get your old membership reactivated so that you can register as a Nipper Parent / Carer.

Neither parent or carer is a member of an Australian surf club

To finalise your registration, you will need to:

1. Create a SLS Hub account for yourself
2. Add your child’s details
3. Pay the registration fees

Register

Create an SLS Hub account for yourself

Do not enter your child’s details yet

  1. Go to hub.sls.com.au
  2. Select [Sign Up]
  1. Create a Username and click [Next]
  1. Input the requested details including your First and Last Names, which should be your formal legal names – no nicknames/preferred names (you will have an opportunity to add preferred names later).
  2. Create your password then click [Sign Up]
  1. A verification code will then be sent to your email address. Enter that code to proceed.
  1. The next screen will show two options. Hover over the “I am a brand new member joining a club or other organisation for the first time” tile
  2. Select “Proceed to Join Form”

Register you and your child

  1. Select Bondi from the club dropdown
  2. Select “I am a parent/guardian (18+) looking to sign up my child/family”
  3. Select “I am looking to sign up myself and family members”
  4. Click [Next]
  1. Enter your details ie the parent or guardian’s details as the Primary Member

Note, these details should match your identity documents – do not use nicknames. Contact us to add your preferred name.

  1. Click the [+] to add your child
  1. Enter your child’s details as as the Standard Member

Note, these details should match their birth certificate – do not use nicknames. Contact us to add their preferred name.

  1. Click the [+] to add any additional children or click [Next]

Only add U6 Nippers or older existing Nippers. New Nippers in older age groups must wait until 29 July.

  1. Enter your contact details.

  2. If possible, use a different parent or guardian for the Emergency Contact

  3. Click [Next]

Note, parent/guardian details are required for anyone <18 years of age. They will be copied in on all email/SMS communication.

  1. Tick to recognise and accept the Declaration

Note, enter your name here.

  1. Click [Next]

  1. Select “Nipper Parent / Carer” from the dropdown for the parent or guardian.

  2. Select the appropriate “New Nipper” option for your child:

  • $170 for your first child in nippers
  • $140 for each of your second and third children in Nippers
  • $0 for your fourth child in Nippers.

  1. Click [Next]

  1. Don’t select any of the Add-on Fees as none are relevant to Nippers

  2. Click [Next]

  1. View a summary of the fees you will pay

  2. Select [Card]

  3. Enter your payment details

  4. Click [Pay]

Your registration is now successfully submitted!

We will review your membership request and you will receive an email when it has been approved.

Register

At least one parent or carer is a member of an Australian surf club

To finalise your registration, you will need to:

1. Create a new SLS Hub account for your child
(you can use the same email address as your own account if you like)

2. Pay your child’s registration fees
(you will pay your own fees as part of your normal member renewal process)

3. If you are a member of a surf club other than Bondi, you will also need to do a full or partial transfer to Bondi and pay the Nippers Parent / Carer registration fee. 

Office staff will create a family group linking you and your child for ease of future renewals.

Do not log into your account here

  1. Go to hub.sls.com.au
  2. Select [Sign Up]
  1. Create a Username for your child and click [Next]
  1. Input the requested details including your child’s First and Last Names, which should be their formal legal names – no nicknames / preferred names (you will have an opportunity to add preferred names later).
  2. Use your own email address here (it can be the same as the one on your account)
  3. Create a password then click [Sign Up]
  1. A verification code will then be sent to your email address. Enter that code to proceed.
  1. The next screen will show two options. Hover over the “I am a brand new member joining a club or other organisation for the first time” tile

Do not select “I am a current or past member”

  1. Select “Proceed to Join Form”

Register your child

  1. Select Bondi from the club dropdown
  2. Select “I am an individual  looking to join a SLS Club”
  3. Click [Next]
  1. Enter your child’s details

Note, these details should match their birth certificate – do not use nicknames. Contact us to add their preferred name.

  1. Click [Next]

  1. Enter your contact details

  2. If possible, use a different parent or guardian for the Emergency Contact

  3. Click [Next]

Read on if you are a member of a club other than Bondi...

If you are a member of a surf club other than Bondi, you will also need to submit a full or partial transfer to Bondi by following these instructions.

To do a full transfer to Bondi Surf Club, choose “I want to leave … and transfer to Bondi”.

To remain a member at your existing surf club, choose “I want to remain at … and also transfer to Bondi”.

Register

My child has not turned 5 yet

You will need to wait until your child has turned 5 before you can finalise their registration.

If you are already a member of Bondi Surf Club, we reserved a spot for your child when you filled out our form. Not sure? Contact us at nippers@bondisurfclub.com.

If you are not already a member of Bondi Surf Club, you need to register a parent or carer with Bondi now in order to reserve a spot for your child. Your child’s spot is not reserved until you have registered as a “Nipper Parent / Carer”.

To reserve a spot, you will need to:

1. Create a SLS Hub account for yourself
2. Pay the Nippers Parent / Carer registration fee for yourself

Once your child has turned 5, you will need to:

1. Create a SLS Hub account for your child
2. Pay the registration fee for your child
